--Language
(in Linguistics) = the distinctively human
system for communication with well-defined structure, composed of sounds
built up to form words and sentences to convey meaning.
--Dialect
= usually GEOGRAPHICAL varieties within languages, e.g. English language – UK,
US, AUS, & PH; Tagalog language – Manila, Batangas, Bulacan, Cavite

of 1 Language (Tagalog) in 4 Dialects & 2 other languages:
>1. Manila Tagalog: Pumunta siya dito dala ang malinis na
pinggan na ilalagay sa patuyuan ng pinggan.
>2. Batangas
Tagalog: Pumarine siya tangan ang malinis na pinggan na ilalagay sa
banggerahan.
>3. Bulacan Tagalog: Nagpunta siya rito na may dalang malinis

2 extinct (Inagta Villaviciones, Inagta Dicanay)
